Pre-Treatment Inspector- Forsyth County Water Department.
Non-exempt salary $13.92/hr. Conducts field inspections and monitoring of industrial and commercial accounts that discharge to Forsyth County sewers to ensure compliance of pre-treatment and waste control devices/processes with applicable codes, ordinances, and permit requirements. Reviews plans of future pre-treatment facilities; evaluates blueprints and makes recommendations. Installs sewer flow meters; calibrates, maintains, and repairs sewer flow meters. Inspects sewer system for inflow and infiltration; prepares and publishes sewer flow reports. Collects and tests water samples; conducts water analysis to determine quality of water. Communicates with adjacent municipalities regarding sewer system problems or issues. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: HS diploma or GED; supplemented by vocational/technical training in pretreatment inspections and wastewater system operations; supplemented by 1 yr. previous experience and/or training involving industrial/commercial pretreatment processes, pretreatment inspections, wastewater collection systems, and pc operations; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain valid Class II Wastewater System Operator license and/or Wastewater Collection System Operator certification. Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license.
