Planner II- Forsyth County Planning and Development Department.
Exempt annual salary $38,199.66. Located in North Metro Atlanta, Forsyth County is one of the fastest growing counties in the United States with a population of approximately 130,000. The planning staff consists of eleven full-time employees and is located within the Department of Planning and Development. Utilizes discretionary authority to interpret and apply County codes and ordinances; prepares and updates the County's comprehensive planning documents. Performs research, data collection and analysis pertaining to long range planning; including but not limited to the comprehensive plan, the greenspace plan, the short term work program, sub area plans, historic preservation, capital improvement programming, environmental protection, and economic development. Conducts/attends various meetings; attends Board of Commissioner meetings, Planning Commission meetings, Appeals Board meetings, and public meetings related to current and long range planning issues; attends plan review meetings with architects, engineers, contractors, builders, property owners, and the public; prepares visual graphics materials for presentations at meetings. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning or closely related field; plus 3 years previous experience and/or training involving urban planning, local/regional land use, zoning, land development plan review, site plan review, and personal computer operations; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver's license. A Master's Degree in Urban Planning or closely related field and/or AICP certification encouraged. Open until filled. Wastwater Operator, Sandersville
The city of Sandersville is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Wastwater Operator. The person who will fill the position must be able to work in various climates and meet the physical requirements of the position. To apply, you must have as a minimum a high school diploma or equivalency as well as a Georgia Class II Wastwater Treatment Plant Operator Certification. The successful candidate must be self-motivated and be capable of understanding technical data. A background in a mechanical and/or science field is preferred.
