GIS Technician: Forsyth County Fire Dept.
GIS Technician-Forsyth County Fire Dept. Non-exempt $14.47/hr. Operates and maintains the County GIS base maps pertaining to the Fire department along with working with the County GIS team Providing data and other sources into GIS system. Incorporates new information from data collection and other sources and other available resources; revises fire maps as required. Individual will also be part of the emergency GIS team working in the EOC as maybe required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: HS diploma/GED; plus vocational/technical training in cartography, computerized mapping, or a related field; plus 1 yr. previous experience and/or training involving GIS operations, cartography, and computerized mapping; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
