Construction Inspector-Forsyth Co. Water Dept: Non-exempt $15.03/hr. Conducts inspections of construction projects involving Co. water/sewer infrastructure to ensure compliance w/ applicable codes, standards, & approved construction plans/specifications; conducts end-of-year maintenance inspections on construction sites. Provides information concerning utility construction requirements; responds to complaints & questions related to projects & work activities; researches & investigates cause of problems; recommends solutions to problems. MIN QUALS: HS diploma/GED; plus 3 yrs previous exp &/or training that includes utility installation/construction, water distribution system operations, wastewater collection system operations, site inspection, sediment & erosion control, & construction/site plan interpretation; or any equivalent combination of education, training, & exp which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, & abilities for this job. Depending on area of assignment must obtain appropriate Water Distribution System Operator cert or Wastewater System Operator cert w/in 1 yr of hire. Must obtain other Water Distribution System Operator cert or Wastewater System Operator cert w/in 2nd yr of hire. Must have a valid driver’s license. Apply by 07/29/2005.
