GIS ANALYST Forsyth County Water Dept: Exempt salary $38,199.66/annually. Operates, maintains geographic info system (GIS); creates/maintains/updates data in GIS database, collects data using global position system (GPS)/imagery; updates info. Performs mapping functions/graphic editing. Converts map data to digital format using GIS software; digitizes hardcopy materials and info; processes GIS data for maps. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: B.A in Geography, Geographical Information Systems, Computer Science, or closely related field; plus 3 years previous experience and/or training involving geographical information system operations and computerized mapping, with experience in specialized area/department of assignment; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
