Water/Wastewater Superintendent
The Jones County Board of Commissioners is seeking a Water/Wastewater Superintendent to manage the operations of the water/wastewater distribution and collections. Class II license required with a minimum 10 years experience with 5 years in a management role. Successful applicant must have a valid driver’s license and a clean MVR with a high school diploma or equivalent. Salary $40,000 plus excellent benefits. Engineering Technician- Forsyth County Water Dept
Engineering Technician- Forsyth County Water Dept: Non-exempt $15.40/hr. Provides technical engineering support to Water department, maintains County’s comprehensive water model. Prepares or completes various forms, reports, correspondence, plan review submittal forms, engineer’s letters, permits, or other documents. Assists in the planning, development, and design of capital improvement projects for County infrastructure: develops preliminary/final plans and designs using CAD and other engineering/drafting tools. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, engineering technology, construction management, or a related field required; previous design or technical planning experience in civil engineering projects is preferred; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Performs administrative and technical tasks to complete preventive maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical and communication equipment at the water and wastewater pump stations, lift stations, and water tanks. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent with one to two years experience in the maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical and/or electronic equipment at water and wastewater pump/lift stations; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain certification in water distribution, wastewater collection, and a commercial driver’s license within one year of hire. Must submit 7-yr MVR with application. Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license. Must possess & maintain valid GA CDL including appropriate endorsement(s). Depending on area of assignment must possess appropriate Water Distribution System Operator certification or Wastewater System Operator certification.
