Cross Connection Control Specialist- Forsyth County Water Dept
Non-exempt $14.83/hr.
Performs inspections and testing of backflow assemblies in water meters of residential, commercial, and fire water lines to monitor and prevent water contamination; tests water samples; tests toxic gas levels when working in confined spaces. Issues cross connection permits; collects permit fees.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: HS diploma/GED; plus vocational/technical training in backflow device testing and water distribution system operations; plus1 year previous experience and/or training involving backflow device testing, water/wastewater distribution system operations, and personal computer operations; or any equal combination of education, training, and experience which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities for job. Must obtain valid Backflow Device certification within 1 year of employment. Must have a valid GA driver’s license. Must submit 7-yr MVR w/ application.
