Maintenance Personel
Private water utility company is seeking maintenance personnel. Employee(s) will operate and maintain a work vehicle and respond to leaks. Additionally, he/she will conduct maintenance projects in accordance with supervisor's priorities of work. Technical work with plumbing is a mainstay, but the job may include cutting grass and miscellaneous clean-up duties. Additionally, responding to emergency water leaks is required. Other responsibilities include reading water meters, installing underground pipe, installing meters, working with chemicals, working with electricity, lifting and digging, and organizing information.
Qualifications: able bodied, computer literate, driver's license, responsible, self-starter, and hard working.
Employer prefers able-bodied workers that can be trained and retained for promotion. Residents of Effingham, Bulloch, and Chatham County are preferred. Hard workers with initiative and efficiency a must.

The City of Cornelia Georgia has immediate openings for a Water Treatment Plant Assistant Superintendent and a Public Water System Operator. Applicants must be physically able to lift and/or carry 50lbs or more on a frequent basis, walk up and down stairs, and have the ability to wear a respirator or SCBA. Candidates for the Assistant Superintendent position must possess a current State of Georgia Public Water System Operator’s certification of Class II or higher. Candidates for the operator position must have a Class III certification or higher. The positions also require applicants to have a valid Georgia driver’s license and the ability to work day or night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
