White County Class I , II, & III Operators
White County Water Authority is now taking applications for all Class I, II, & III operators. These positions require conducting a variety of test for safe drinking water for the customers of White County Water Authority. Applicants must be able to lift up to 50lbs or more. Work is performed both indoors and outdoors. Work consist of a variety of tools and equipment. Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time. Must have a valid Georgia driver's license. Must be able to work shift work and holidays & weekends. Starting pay is based on qualifications and experience.

POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
GENERAL MANAGER
Etowah Water & Sewer Authority is seeking candidates for the position of General Manager. The Authority is an established and growing enterprise that provides water and wastewater services to Dawson and surrounding counties. The current customer base is approximately 4,759 water customers and 341 sewer customers. The wastewater system has primarily served commercial and industrial customers in the past, but is now beginning to serve residential customers. Annual Authority revenue is in excess of $4 million.
The General Manager directs the operation of the Authority water treatment, distribution and plant maintenance activities in the production of clean, safe, potable water, ensuring that water quality, quantity, and plant facilities are in compliance with all state, federal and Authority standards, policies and regulations; directs the operation of the wastewater treatment and collection system in compliance with all state and federal regulations. Manager is responsible for the sound management of EWSA finances, including compliance with all financial and accounting functions. Represents EWSA on natural resource planning issues with the Georgia EPD, the Georgia Mountain Regional Development Center and other regional, state and federal agencies. The position directly reports to the EWSA Board of Directors.
A four year college degree in engineering, biology, chemistry and/or business administration is preferred. Ten years of relevant experience is required. Experience may be any combination of utility management, utility engineering and operations, and business management. Registration as a professional engineer and/or a water or wastewater operations license will be a plus. Salary is negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
