City of Gainesville Public Utilities Department is recruiting for a WTP Relief Operator II. Responsibilities: Acts as Relief Operator on any shift when an operator is out. Operates the Water Works Plant, monitoring all equipment, changing chemicals and assuring adequate water supplies are available and meet purity standards. Oversees the activities of the plant on an assigned shift; subject to recall to duty in cases of emergency. Requirements: High School Diploma or G.E.D. Class II Water Treatment License (will be considered if you have a Class III Water Treatment License), valid Class C Driver’s License. Must be able to lift fifty pounds.
