City of Gainesville Public Utilities Department is recruiting for a WTP Operator II. Responsibilities: Operates the Water Works Plant on a daily basis, monitoring all equipment, changing chemicals and assuring adequate water supplies are available and meet purity standards. Oversees the activities of the plant on an assigned shift; subject to recall to duty in cases of emergency. Requirements: High School Diploma or G.E.D. Class II Water Treatment License (will be considered if you have Class III Water Treatment License), valid Class C Driver’s License. Must be able to lift fifty pounds.
