Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator
The City of Tybee Island is now accepting applications for the position of Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator. Must have knowledge in the operation and maintenance of a Wastewater Treatment Facility. Work involves participation in the safe and efficient operation, routine servicing and care of a variety of specialized equipment in the Wastewater Treatment Facility. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Water/Sewer Superintendent and is reviewed through the inspection of schedules, records, equipment, facilities, and job performance.
Applicants must possespossess a Class II or higher Georgia Certification for Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators or able to obtain a Class II License with in six months of employment.

Waste Water Treatment Operator Cornelia, Ga.
The City of Cornelia has immediate opening for Class III or above for Waste Water plant. Candidate must have an understanding of the treatment processes and have the necessary skills to operate equipment. Candidate will conduct a variety of tests for the safe and efficient operation of the plant. Will have to perform preventative maintenance tasks. Work is performed inside and outdoors.
Applicants must be physically able to perform job duties. Need valid Georgia driver's license and be able to work shift work, holidays & weekends. Competitive salary commensurate with the level of certification.

The Plant Manager is responsible for the full-time operation and general maintenance of facilities equipment and process control at a water facility, including managing the scope, schedule and budget of the facility in accordance with contract requirements. Additional responsibilities include environmental compliance, employee safety,client relations and financial management. The successful candidate will have experience supervising a staff of five or more operators and mechanics. Must be able to work days, nights, weekends and holidays, as required for emergency call outs. Candidates must be willing to relocate to the area north of Atlanta.
Five or more years of experience as a water facilities manager
Top GA certification in water treatment or the ability to obtain
it within the first six months of employment
Experience overseeing a budget of $1M or more
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven track record with regulators
Experience with up-flow pulsation clarifiers a plus
