Job Title: Water Treatment Plant Lead Operator
Salary: Competitive

Job Status: Full-time
Brief Position Description:
Plans work and oversees the activities of the Water Treatment Plant Operators to insure the overall efficiency of the Water Treatment Plant. Monitors the activities of operations or maintenance and assists in both areas to meet operational compliance goals.
Minimum Qualifications:
Class I Georgia Water Treatment Certification
Valid Class C Driver’s License and a satisfactory MVR
Three years experience in water treatment
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities of
Practices, principles, and supervisory techniques associated with Water Treatment Plants
Chemistry, Characteristics, and treatment techniques of water
Laboratory equipment, procedures, and processes involved in processing raw water into potable water
State and Federal regulations regarding water treatment and purification
Water works operation and maintenance
Mathematical formulas, and the ability to calculate the amounts of chemicals needed to purify water
Safety precautions used in chemical analysis
Maintenance records applied to plant operations
Ability to read and interpret charts
Ability to perform routine and emergency maintenance
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
