Water Treatment Operator Covington Ga
The City of Covington is currently accepting applications for a
Water Treatment Operator
in the Water Production Department with an hourly entry-level rate of
$12.87 to an hourly maximum rate of $17.22 depending upon qualifications;
a Water Treatement Operator III salary range to 12.8 hourly to 17.22
hourly; a Water Operator II salary range 13.56 hourly to 18.17 hourly and
a Water Operator I salary range 15.06 hourly to 20.15 hourly. The employee
will perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled technical and maintenance
work in the operation, maintenance and repair of water treatment
facilities and systems. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, operating,
maintaining and repairing malfunctions at the water treatment plant;
repairing gauges, pumps, filters and other controls and equipment; calibrating,
modifying or repairing of instrumentation and control equipment
including recorders, flow-meter and other water quality monitoring equipment.
Education and experience include possession of a high school diploma
or GED equivalent and possession of a Class III Water Certification or
the ability to attain certification within one year of appointment; or any
equivalent combination of education or experience. Applicants must submit
a copy of their driving record for the past three years along with the
