CH2M HILL OMI is seeking a qualified candidate for a Project Manager I position at our Barnesville, GA project. The Project Manager is responsible for the overall management and leadership of the project including profit and loss, permit compliance, safety, quality, and client relationship management. This position also provides leadership and management for all personnel functions including staffing, compensation, training and development, progressive discipline, rewards and recognition, and termination in accordance with standard company policy. The Project Manager assumes responsibility for the planning, organization, operations, maintenance, and improvement of the facility or facilities that he/she manages.
Basic Qualifications:
* High school diploma or GED
* Six years experience in the operation and maintenance of a water/wastewater facility
* Three years experience at a supervisory level
* Possess a valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications:
* Prior experience in Public Works, particularly in Street Department
* A.A. or A.S. degree or B.A. or B.S. degree in Engineering, Environmental Science Business Administration
* Level of certification, if any, required by the State; a one year grace period to attain certification is acceptable; highest level of certification offered by the State desirable
* Completion of OMI University I
* Proficient use of computer software including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
* Understanding of the technical aspects of the facility to be managed
* Excellent knowledge of project finance and bonus modeling process
* Demonstrated interpersonal relations and personnel management skills
* Willingness to travel approximately 25%
Project Description: The Barnesville project consists of a 6.0 mgd surface water treatment plant, a 1.2 mgd trickling filter wastewater plant, and the Street Department. The Street Department is responsible for patching potholes, ditch maintenance, right of way mowing, yard debris collection and cleanup.
