Water Plant Operator
*Must have and maintain a State of Georgia Class III or higher License.
*Must have a valid Georgia Driver’s License.
*Must be 18 years or older and able to pass a drug test and physical, as well as, submit to a background check.
*Operates/maintains Water Treatment Plant System and related equipment.
*Must be able to perform chemical analysis as necessary to assure clean and environmentally safe water for public use and to produce quality effluent water as required by local, state, and federal requirements
*Must be able to lift 50 lb bags of chemicals and maneuver 150 lb chlorine cylinders
*Must be willing to work weekends and holidays as required.
*Minimum Qualifications:
-High school diploma or GED.
-Vocational/Technical training in Water Treatment Plant Operations. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for the daily operation of a water treatment plant.
-Previous experience and/or training preferred involving Water Treatment Plant Operations and equipment maintenance.
