Gainesville City Government Public Utilities Department is recruiting an Assistant Public Utilities Director. Responsibilities: Assists the Public Utilities Director in all public utility activities to provide and maintain water and sanitary sewer systems for the City of Gainesville, including operation and administra¬tion of potable Water Treatment Facilities, Water Reclamation Facilities, Water Distribution, Sewage Collections, Laboratory, Watershed and Environmen¬tal Services, Customer Services and Billing, Finance, and Engineering/Planning Services. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Business or related field. Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, and Public Administration is desirable. Ten to fifteen years water and wastewater services experience, including seven in a management capacity. Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the minimum level of qualifications stated above. Salary: $75,566 - $113,360/Year DOQ.
