The successful candidate will plan, direct, and coordinate activities of multiple projects to ensure that goals and objectives of the projects are accomplished within prescribed timeframes and funding parameters. The candidate will be responsible for managing the growth and development of Plant Managers at affected projects, and is ultimately responsible for ensuring that Clients are satisfied with all work product and efforts at facilities under his/her supervision.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Involvement in project proposals or plans to determine time frames, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and resource allocations.
Participation in recruitment of staff for facility positions.
Directing and coordination of activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget. Candidate will also review and/or prepare status reports that delineate to the Client the progress of schedules and/or budgets.
Working with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
Candidate will be a primary point of contact with the external Client and/or regulators.]
The Candidate will comply with all company Health and Safety procedures and policies.
This candidate will be responsible for ensuring the overall health and safety of all plant employees, by coordinating, with the Plant Manager and Woodard & Curran’s Health & Safety Manager, a standard safe environment as well as and emergency procedures program. The candidate will demonstrate an ability to proactively control project costs, including comfort with brainstorming solutions for troubled financial situations. The candidate will ensure that the company’s image as a leader in the industry is protected and presented at all levels at the facility, including on-site personnel, facility grounds, and company-owned or leased vehicles. Candidate should be comfortable with public relations/public speaking.
The Candidate will be responsible for direct supervision of the affected Plant Manager(s). In this role, he/she will originate actions and influence events as they pertain to those managers or others under his/her supervision. The Candidate will be called on to set appropriate examples in regard to work ethic, motivation, and health and safety, technical, and managerial skills. He/she will be responsible for providing regular reviews to those managers that report to the Candidate; these reviews will include establishing goals and performance standards, and will provide opportunities to coach and develop the subordinate Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS

High School Graduate or Equivalent, or technical/vocational school background.
Minimum ten (10) years in wastewater and water distribution/treatment or mechanical field(s) is required. Previous management experience is preferred.

Position Summary: This position is responsible to maintain the operations of the City’s Waste Water Treatment Plant under the direction of the Water/Waste Water Department Director. Experience and knowledge necessary to operate a water pollution control plant and assist in the maintenance of plant facilities. Must be able to lift and carry 50 to 100 lbs. Will drive a light truck as needed.
Education, Experience, Training, Special Licenses, and Other Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required – Only those applicants with both experience and a willingness to commit to obtaining Georgia Certified Class III Operator License or applicants who have obtained a Class III license will be considered.

MAJOR DUTIES
This position is responsible for performing installation, repair, and maintenance of the water distribution system.
Checking wells, tanks, and booster pumping stations; adding chemicals as needed.
Collecting water samples for analysis by state laboratory.
Repairing cut or damaged water lines and roads.
Installing and repairing water line taps.
Installing, maintaining, and reading water meters.
Locating water line leaks.
Locating water lines for crews and other utility companies.
Responding to emergency service calls as required.

SECONDARY DUTIES

KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIRED

Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the work of subordinate positions and to be able to answer questions and resolve problems, usually associated with 1 to 3 years experience.

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other departments and the public.
Valid Georgia Driver’s License and CDL certification or the ability to obtain one.
