Water Treatment Operator

The City of Cornelia has immediate opening for Class III or above for our conventional Water plant. Candidate must have an understanding of the treatment processes and have the necessary skills to operate equipment.  Candidate will conduct a variety of tests for the safe and efficient operation of the plant. Will have to perform general & preventative maintenance tasks.  Work is performed inside and outdoors. Must have mechanical, technical aptitude, math and computer skills.

Applicants must be physically able to perform job duties including heavy lifting and climbing stairs. Need High School diploma or GED, valid Georgia driver's license and be able to work shift work, holidays & weekends. Salary range $12.50-16.50 depending upon license.
