"Advanced Biological Services, Inc (ABS), a revolutionary new wastewater treatment process manufacturer, is seeking 12-15 Class 1 certified Georgia operators throughout the state to serve as field service technicians, initially on a part-time basis.

The ideal candidates will have excellent people and communication skills, be self-motivated, have problem-solving skills, capable of leading and training others and be certified as a Class 1 Georgia wastewater operators.

The City of Monticello will accept proposals for procurement of an automated meter reading (AMR) system which will allow remote meter reading without necessitating direct access to the meters.

A pre-proposal meeting has been scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 in Monticello city council chambers at 123 West Washington Street in Monticello.  All potential Proposers are invited to attend.

All proposals are due at Jordan Engineering, Inc., 144 N. Warren Street, Monticello, Georgia, no later than 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 22, 2009.  The names of the all Proposers will be read at a public bid opening at the Monticello city council chamber at 10:30 a.m. on the same day.

• Market research and business strategy within the Georgia municipal market, with primary focus on municipal governments and water / wastewater agencies in the State of Georgia including metropolitan, rural and coastal areas 
• Ability to drive sales growth and client relationship development within the State of Georgia 
• In-depth knowledge of O'Brien & Gere service lines and the ability to cross-sell to existing / potential clients
• Maintain active involvement, including committee work, with the Georgia Association of Water Professionals (GAWP) and the Georgia Rural Water Association (GRWA)
• Maintain a current, working knowledge of the public funding mechanisms available to municipal governments (i.e., GEFA, CDBG, Rural Development Fund, SPLOST and CW/DWSRF and maintain working relationships with contacts and administrators of these funding groups / sources
