O'Brien & Gere currently has an opportunity in our Alpharetta, GA office for an experienced external Business Development Manager (primarily outside sales focused) who will be responsible for business development and client management within the municipal market. This position will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: 

  • Relationship development within the Georgia municipal utilities and infrastructure market, with primary focus on municipal governments, and water / wastewater agencies in the State of Georgia including metropolitan, rural and coastal areas 
  • Market research and business strategy within the Georgia municipal market, with primary focus on municipal governments and water / wastewater agencies in the State of Georgia including metropolitan, rural and coastal areas 
  • Ability to drive sales growth and client relationship development within the State of Georgia 
  • In-depth knowledge of O'Brien & Gere service lines and the ability to cross-sell to existing / potential clients
  • Maintain active involvement, including committee work, with the Georgia Association of Water Professionals (GAWP) and the Georgia Rural Water Association (GRWA)
  • Maintain a current, working knowledge of the public funding mechanisms available to municipal governments (i.e., GEFA, CDBG, Rural Development Fund, SPLOST and CW/DWSRF and maintain working relationships with contacts and administrators of these funding groups / sources
