CITY OF FLOWERY BRANCH, GA

SANITARY SEWER LINE REHABILITATION PROJECT

INVITATION TO BID

 

The City of Flowery Branch will be receiving sealed bids for cured in place pipe lining rehabilitation of approximately 1,027 feet of 12-inch sanitary sewer line.  The bid is to include costs associated with providing all materials, labor and equipment to reline the sanitary sewer line.  Bids must also include all costs necessary to provide for television (tv) inspection, line cleaning, and bypassing which may be necessary during the rehabilitation project. Please note, the City has recently tv inspected the lines and has a recording of this work that is available for viewing at the pre-bid conference.  Upon completion of the project all videos of the finished lines shall be submitted to the City.

 

MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE

 

There will be a mandatory pre-bid conference to visit the project area and review the television videos identified above. The conference will be held at 2:00 P.M. on March 24, 2010, at the City's Wastewater Treatment Plant located at 5572 Atlanta Highway, Flowery Branch, GA. All interested parties intending to bid on the project must attend this conference.  

 

BID SUBMITTAL

 

The City will receive sealed bids until 1:30 P.M. on April 7, 2010, at 5517 Main Street.  All bids will be opened and read at the time and place noted above.  A decision on awarding the project is expected at the Flowery Branch City Council meeting on April 15, 2010.

 

PROJECT COMPLETION

 

The project shall be completed and invoiced for final payment by June 30, 2010. The successful bidder for this contract will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond in the amount of 100 percent of the bid. Bonds are the only form of acceptable security.

PROJECT PAYMENT & TERMS

Payment for the project will be made to the contractor following completion of the work and certification from the City Engineer and Wastewater Treatment Plant Superintendent that the work has been satisfactorily completed and accepted.  The contract will be awarded to the lowest reliable bidder and the City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities and to re-advertise.
