INVITATION FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION OF BIDDERS

 

for the

 

POLK COUNTY WATER, SEWAGE, AND SOLID WASTE AUTHORITY

 

BID PROPOSAL FOR WATER LINE CONSTRUTION,

MAINTENANCE, AND EMERGENCY REPAIRS

 

 

            The Polk County Water, Sewage, and Solid Waste Authority (Authority) is planning to solicit bids for constructing water lines, maintenance, and emergency repairs. The Authority will provide all pipe, fittings, valves, hydrants, tape, meter boxes and service lines.

 

            Pre-Qualification of Bidders for this project is required by the Authority. Application for the Pre-Qualification of Bidders can be obtained in person from the Polk County Water, Sewage, and Solid Waste Authority, 1381 East Avenue, Cedartown, Georgia 30125, Phone (770) 748-6001.

 

            Application for Pre-Qualification of Bidders will be received by the Authority until 12:00 P.M. local time on  May 4th, 2010 .  Applications for Pre-Qualifications shall be sealed and delivered to the Authority so that they are received no later than the specified date and time. Applications received after this time will not be opened or considered. The Applicant must submit four (4) copies of the completed Application for Pre-Qualification.

 

            If the Bidder plans on utilizing specialty subcontractors for any work items, the information requested in the pre-qualification application for the prime contractor must also be supplied for these specialty subcontractors. The Authority intends to award a single contract for all work required on the project. Copies of detailed bid documents to be used in preparing bids will be made available at a later date to Pre-Qualified Bidders.

 

            ONLY THOSE CONTRACTORS THAT THE AUTHORITY DETERMINES TO BE QUALIFIED TO PERFORM THE WORK THROUGH THE PRE-QUALIFICATION PROCESS WILL BE INVITED TO SUBMIT A BID FOR THE PROPOSED POJECT.

We are seeking a Water Resources professional for a Regional Practice Leader position at a leading environmental consulting firm. The position could function from any one of this company's Southeast offices such as Atlanta GA, Raleigh NC or Georgetown SC. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone because:

Essential responsibilities include:

  • Present all firm service offerings to potential clients.  The primary focus of this position is on Water Supply Planning - identifying demand for and sources of water supply.  Other service areas include Water and Natural Resource services such as Watershed Management, Stream Restoration, Wetland Treatment, Environmental Permitting and Compliance, and Aquatic Ecosystems.
  • Lead new business pursuit teams.
  • Direct projects and clients.
  • Supervise staff.


To qualify for the position, the candidate must have 15+ years experience with Water Resources related projects. The bulk of this experience must be in the Southeast US. A track record of relationship building and pursuit leadership is required.

The compensation package will be commensurate with the candidate's background and experience with a base salary in the $110k to $150k range anticipated. The company has a strong benefits package.
