Water Treatment Plant Operator:

The Ellijay-Gilmer County W.S.A. is taking applications and resumes for a water treatment plant operator.

Job Summary:

This position is for a Georgia Certified Water Plant Operator class 3 or higher work involves the operation of a water treatment plant and compliance with all permits. This position is also responsible for preventive maintenance of all equipment and that the equipment, buildings and grounds are always kept at the heist level of cleanliness.

Job Duties

 Must be able to operate a 4mgd water plant, monitor s.c.a.d.a , record flows, backwash filters, perform hourly lab test and record on bench sheet and computer, maintain equipment and buildings,etc

Hours

6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. work 2 days on 3 days off then 3 days on 2 days off. Off every other Friday, Saturday,and Sunday

Must be willing to work weekends and holidays  

Must be willing to fill in for other operators when needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Ga Certified license class 3 or higher

High school diploma or equivalent

Submit a 3 year driving record from D.M.V.

Must submit and pass a pre-employment drug screen

 

Applications can be picked up at the main office from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday
