Base Salaries:

Operator Trainee $13.57

Class 3 Operator $14.96

Class 2 Operator $17.31

Class 1 Operator $18.18

Hiring Range: Based on qualifications and experience

EGWSA is accepting applications for a full-time Wastewater Operator or Operator Trainee. No experience is required for Operator Trainee position. However, an Operator Trainee will be required to acquire Class 3 certification within 12 months of employment. This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Wastewater Treatment Plant.  Work involves sampling, lab testing and operation of wastewater treatment equipment to ensure compliance with State of Georgia EPD NPDES Permit. This position is also responsible for preventive and some corrective maintenance of all plant equipment, as well as buildings and grounds maintenance. Strong work ethic is a plus. Operators work a weekly rotating 12 hour Day shift. Some weekends and Holidays are required. A complete job description can be found on the Authority’s website.

Must possess a valid Georgia Driver's License (Class B desirable) and have a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record.  Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
