Director of Wastewater Operations
Job Summary:
Responsible for plant management, employee training, and purchasing for two wastewater treatment plants consisting of 22 employees with an annual budget of $2.8 million.
Essential Duties:
- Ensure that plant operates in compliance with EPD/NPDES permit.
- Ensure that plant operations and maintenance duties are performed in a safe manner.
- Ensure that plant remains in compliance with State Risk Management Plan.
- Ensure compliance with Storm Water Management Permit.
- Prepare yearly budget for Plant and equipment.
- Plans and Delegates tasks associated with plant operations.
- Maintain inventory of chemical and equipment supply.
- Audit facility and operations for potential issues.
- Performs other duties as assigned or requested by Assistant Executive Director/EVP of Operations.
Qualifications:
- The successful candidate must have their Class I certification.
- Seven years of relevant supervisory experience.
- Four-year degrees with appropriate course work in environmental sciences, biology, or chemistry is highly desirable.
- Experience and training in the wastewater treatment field can compensate for degree.
- Valid Georgia Driver's License with a clean driving record.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent walking.
- Ability to carry 25 pounds up to 50 pounds and occasional over 50 pounds.
- Frequent standing, stooping and occasionally sitting, crawling, crouching, climbing, and balancing. Ability to grasp and hold.
Salary Range: $83,480 - $125,760
