Job Summary:
To include but not limited to,
Perform daily operation of the Water and Wastewater Treatment Facilities, as well as the Distribution and Collection Systems. Correctly complete and review all water and waste water reporting documents for approval by the Project Manager. Perform routine to major maintenance on equipment, buildings and grounds without direct supervision.
Education/Equivalent:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Valid GA driver’s license required
Obtain Class III Water Treatment License in 6 Months
Special Skills/Abilities Needed:
Good CPU and mechanical skills required. Ability to regularly lift at least 70 lbs required. Must have good organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be able to follow and convey both written and verbal instructions, as well as follow up on status and report. Must be very self-motivated.
Nature & Scope-Principal Areas of Responsibilities:
- Operate the 2.65 MGD Water Treatment facility and associated distribution system without supervision and perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Operate both of the .250 MGD Wastewater Treatment Facility and associated Collection System without supervision and performs minor preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Correct completion of monthly operating and maintenance reports.
- Perform meter installation and monthly meter reading.
- Performs maintenance and housekeeping of the facilities and grounds.
- Monitors treatment process operating parameters and automatic control functions, reports problems, and may make adjustments as directed.
- Assists in the implementation of standard operating procedures, safety and preventative maintenance procedures.
- Performs simple, routine monitoring and performance tests for treatment process. Records result in operating logs.
- Inspects equipment, reports problems and performs minor maintenance or repair.
- Assist in customer service.
