JOB NOTICE

Water Quality/Compliance Supervisor

The Water Quality /Compliance Supervisor oversees the day to day operation of the Wastewater Laboratory to ensure compliance of all State EPD and Federal EPA regulations.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to: adhering to all state and federal requirements of the Authority’s LAS and NPDES permits ensuring all sampling and testing procedures are performed; maintaining appropriate laboratory records as required by EPD; directing the laboratory quality assurance and quality control program; ensuring all lab procedures being used in the lab meet the requirements in the latest approved edition of Standard Methods; supervising lab analysts to ensure they are following all approved lab procedures and HCWA safety requirements for the lab; being responsible for maintaining adequate inventory of laboratory supplies; assisting with budgeting procedures for lab; and other duties as assigned. 

Certificates and Licenses

Must have a Wastewater Laboratory Analyst License; and a Valid Georgia Driver’s License with a clean MVR.

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university with a degree in chemistry or related subject;
• 3 to 5 years of wastewater experience;
• Extensive knowledge of lab equipment and sampling machines;
• General knowledge and competency in the use of Microsoft Office 2013 software, specifically MS Excel, MS Word, & MS Outlook;
• Combination of acceptable education and experience listed will be considered.
