[WASTEWATER PLANT OPERATOR CLASS III]

RATE: Dependent On Qualifications And Experience

WORK TIME: full time

TYPE OF WORK: Under the general supervision of the Wastewater Plant Superintendent, a person in this position performs skilled work in the City’s wastewater treatment plant involving the responsible operation of filter’s, clarifiers, chemical feeders and associated equipment vital to the wastewater treatment process while exercising independent judgement and initiative.

QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of wastewater plant operations, knowledge of the functioning and servicing of mechanical equipment, ability to visually inspect and write down accurate records of data. Certification by the Georgia State Board if Examiners for Certified Wastewater Plant Operators as a Class III Operator or greater is required.
