Water/Sewer System Supervisor

The CITY OF NAHUNTA

is now accepting applications for

Water/Sewer System Supervisor

This is an exempt supervisory position that schedules, assigns, and monitors work of all water & sewer department operations and maintenance of the Wastewater Treatment Plant and ensures the maintenance of City’s distribution and collection systems.

These functions include but are not limited to:

• Obtain samples for lab testing and operation of water/wastewater treatment equipment to ensure compliance with State of Georgia EPD NPDES Permit
• preventive and some corrective maintenance of all plant equipment, as well as buildings and grounds maintenance
• Be available on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week when not on leave.
• Ensures all pumping stations are maintained in proper operating condition
• Ensures supplies and materials for the water and sewer department are ordered.
• Coordinates department work with other City departments as necessary.
• Ensures monthly EPD City water samples are collected from all sites for delivery to the proper entities

Requirements are:

• High school diploma or possession of a GED
• Class "C" Georgia driver's license and clean MVR
• Currently possess a Class 3 Certification or acquire said certification within 12 months of employment date
• Pass a background check
• Pass a pre-employment drug screening.
• Salary is $28,000 to $42,000 depending upon licensing and experience
