The City of Monroe is now accepting applications for the position of WTP Manager. This position is responsible for inspection of all new water and sewer system mains and services in subdivisions and system.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/ internship or having had a similar position for one to two years.
• Georgia Class I Water Operator’s Licenses required. Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.

To perform in this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. • Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of specialized training in the field of work, in addition to basic skills typically associated with a high school education.
• Knowledge of state laws governing the operation of water treatment systems.
• Knowledge of water treatment techniques, including sampling and testing, handling and application of chemicals, and the use of such equipment as meters, water pumps and testing equipment.
• Knowledge of laboratory procedures.
• Skill in supervision.
• Skill in reading blueprints.
• Skill in planning and management.
• Skill in oral and written communication.

The City of Monroe offers a comprehensive benefit package. Salary range for this position is from $43,479 to $68,725.
