Position Summary:
This position supervises the operation and maintenance of the collection system.
Essential Duties:
- Prioritizes and oversees tasks for collection system employees on a daily basis.
- Completes work orders.
- Maintains and updates equipment maintenance.
- Effects and directs repairs to equipment and vehicles.
- Performs quality control inspections.
- Assigns crews to specific projects and jobs.
- Troubleshoots pump and mechanical problems.
- Locates and orders parts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma and seven to ten years directly related experience; or two years of college or Associate’s Degree, and over three years directly related experience; or a Bachelor’s Degree and one year directly related experience; or a Master’s Degree and related experience.
- Collections certification.
- Class A CDL.
- Must possess excellent communication skills.
- The work is performed independently; the supervisor makes assignments by defining objectives, priorities and deadlines, and assists employees with unusual situations which do not have a precedent. The supervisor plans and carries out the successive steps and handles problems and deviations in the work assignment in accordance with policies or accepted practices in the job.
Working Conditions:
- Physical Demands. The work requires physical exertion such as long periods of standing; walking over rough or difficult surfaces; recurring stooping, climbing, or walking; recurring lifting of objects weighing in excess of 25 pounds, and occasional lifting of objects weighing in excess of 75 pounds.
- Work Environment. The work will be in an environment involving everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions. The employee may be required to use protective clothing or equipment such as masks, coats, boots, goggles, gloves, or shield.

Minimum requirements include the qualifications and experience as stated on the job announcement, as well as a valid Georgia Driver’s License and satisfactory MVR. All positions require applicants to pass a post-offer drug test prior to employment.
