Madison County Georgia Seeks a Utility Superintendent

Salarary Range $55,000-$65,000.00 dependent on qualifications and experience

ANNOUNCEMENT DATE:   February 3, 2020, Position open until filled.

POSITION:  Utility Superintendent for County Water and Wastewater Systems

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Possession of a current valid Georgia Driver’s License with a clean driving record. 
• At least (5) years supervisory experience in related field. 
• Proven ability to operate, and supervise contractors and staff of growing water and wastewater systems.
• Demonstrated experience in maintaining public infrastructure systems.  
• Must have high school diploma or GED.  Applicant must possess a minimum of a Class III Georgia Water Treatment License and a Class III Georgia Wastewater License. 
• Technical knowledge of water distribution and wastewater collection systems. 
• Knowledge of NPDES permits, CCR requirements, EPD water quality rules, DOT permitting procedure, the Georgia Drinking Water Act, the Georgia Clean Water Act, and other local, state, and federal requirements related to water and sewer.
• Knowledge of the occupational hazards involved and safety precautions necessary to operate in a safe and efficient manner.
• Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs.
• Knowledge of wastewater sampling and laboratory analysis techniques.
• Skill in oral and written communication.
• Skill in the preparation of required reports.
• Skill in planning and meeting deadlines.
