Meter Reading Technician

The Jackson County Water & Sewerage Authority is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill this position. Ideal candidates should have a background in utility meter reading, public water distribution or a related field and be able to work both independently and in a team atmosphere.

Mandatory Qualifications:

• A High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• A valid Georgia Driver License with clean driving record
• The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Basic knowledge of mathematics
• Knowledge of Microsoft applications
• Ability to learn OSHA safety practices as they relate to utilities
• Ability to acquire State of Georgia Water Distribution within 18 months from the date of employment

Candidate will be required to pass a drug screen and criminal background check prior to employment.

Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a comprehensive benefits packing including but not limited to, health, dental and life insurance, 401 (a) plan and pension plan, vacation leave, sick leave, and holidays.
