Project Manager – Quitman GA Water/Sewer Management Project

Project Manager
Pay range: $41,600-$52,000 (commiserate experience).

Required experience:
- Management experience (5-7 years of relevant supervisory experience)
- Good communication skills
- Water/Sewer repair and/or installation experience
- GA Class II Water & Wastewater Operator Certification (or ability to obtain in 12 months)
- Minimum Class C Georgia driver’s license with clean record (MVR required prior to hiring).
- Good verbal and written communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel)
- Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol tests and agree to random testing
The candidate applying for this position will be required to:
- Manage a crew of 3-4 water/sewer utility workers.
- Oversee state NPDES permit for the 1.3 MGD Land Application System (LAS).
- Oversee the system sewage lift stations (15).
- Oversee the collection system (blockages, line repairs, station maintenance).
- Oversee the collection of NPDES permit required samples.
- Oversee the 1.8 MGD drinking water supply (2-towers, 3-wells)
- Oversee the chemical feed systems for the drinking water supply.
- Oversee the distribution system (flushing program, leak repair, line replacement)
- Oversee collection of the permit required samples for the drinking water system.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent walking.
- Ability to carry 25 pounds up to 50 pounds and occasional over 50 pounds.
- Frequent standing, stooping and occasionally sitting, crawling, crouching, climbing, and balancing. Ability to grasp and hold.
