Waste Water Collections System Operator…Cherokee County Water And Sewerage Authority

 

Must already possess or must obtain a Waste Water Collections Operator license within one year from the date of hire.

 

Operator will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of multiple wastewater lift stations.

 

Applicant must also have the ability to perform general labor including but not limited to operating a boom truck, pulling pumps from wet wells, wiring pumps, facilities & grounds maintenance, heavy lifting, ability to work from a ladder or other aerial equipment, and any other tasks as assigned by supervision.

 

The Authority prefers individual with electrical experience who can learn to troubleshoot control panels and understand electrical schematics.

 

The ability to repair and/or perform preventative maintenance tasks on pumps, motors, valves, and other equipment is required.

 

Basic computer skills with the ability to learn and operate a work order system as well as the ability to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings/plans.

 

Must be dependable, able work on-call status on a systematic basis, and complete work assignments during and/or after normal working hours as required.
