Treatment System Supervisor

 

Position Summary:

This position assists the Treatment System Supervisor with plant operation and personnel oversight. Performs laboratory analysis on samples as needed.

 

Essential Duties:

  • Assists Treatment System Supervisor with plant operations and maintenance.
  • Maintains inventory for lab and plants: chemicals, repair parts, and safety supplies.
  • Oversees collection and preparation of samples and supporting paperwork for transport to contract lab.
  • Maintains proper supply of bottles from contract lab.
  • Prepares monthly report; data for NPDES permit reporting.
  • Oversees yearly DMRQA reporting.
  • Maintains adequate training for operations staff regarding license attainment and renewal.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma and five to seven years directly related experience; or two years of college or Associate’s Degree, and two years directly related experience.
  • Class II Wastewater License and Laboratory Certification.
  • Must possess ability to communicate with others.
  • The work is performed under general direction; the supervisor identifies the overall objectives and resources available. The supervisor develops the deadlines, processes, and work to be done.

 

Working Conditions:

  • Physical Demands. The work requires physical exertion such as long periods of standing; walking over rough or difficult surfaces; recurring stooping, climbing, or walking; recurring lifting of objects weighing in excess of 25 pounds, and occasional lifting of objects weighing in excess of 75 pounds. The work may require specific physical abilities such as mobility and dexterity.
  • Work Environment. The work will be in an environment involving everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions. The employee may be required to use protective clothing or equipment such as masks, coats, boots, goggles, gloves, or shield.

Minimum requirements include the qualifications and experience as stated on the job announcement, as well as a valid Georgia Driver’s License and satisfactory MVR. All positions require applicants to pass a post-offer drug test prior to employment.
