ESG Operations, Inc. is actively seeking a Project Manager for our Eatonton/Putnam County, GA Project. In this position, you will be responsible for operations and maintenance of a 1.1 MGD wastewater treatment system, the collection & distribution systems, meter reading, customer service, and utility administration. You will also manage a staff of 20 full time employees.   We are looking for candidates willing to live within 30 miles of Eatonton that are ready to use their extensive field experience to lead our team to success.

Responsibilities:

As part of the ESG Operations team, you will:

  • Be point of contact for ESG Operations, Inc with our local client, including building relationships with client contacts and community.
  • Manage a multi-discipline work team providing operations, maintenance, and management of wastewater treatment operations; wastewater collections and water distribution; and customer service.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through development and implementation of strategies that lead to improved customer experience, resolution of issues, and quality of service. 
  • Analyze operational process control and maintenance procedures; and institute changes when necessary to achieve full compliance with all regulatory agency requirements as defined in the service contract with our client.
  • Maintain accurate operational records and prepare reports required by our client and all regulatory agencies.
  • Inspect facilities, evaluate O&M functions, review records and data, interview and select new personnel, and initiate and recommend new or improved methods or practices.
  • Ensure compliance with City, County, State, and Federal regulations and policies.
  • Attend Council meetings and represent the Client and ESG with State and Federal agencies.

 Qualifications:

We are seeking an experienced “hands-on” Project Manager with:

  • High school diploma required, college degree preferred or any combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Valid Georgia driver’s license.
  • Eight years of progressively responsible experience in wastewater treatment; collection & distribution systems and customer service operations.
  • Georgia Class 1 Wastewater Operators License (or ability to obtain within 6 months), Collections and Distribution licenses preferred.
  • Exemplary leadership, communications, and team-building skills.
  • Detail-oriented work style and strong organizational skills.
  • Proven experience in making sound financial, technical, and management decisions.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.
