Wastewater Plant Superintendent

The City of Kingsland is accepting applications for the position of Wastewater Plant Superintendent.  Kingsland is located on the South Georgia Coast within close proximity to Cumberland Island National Seashore, Brunswick and the Golden Isles, and Jacksonville, Florida.  Kingsland has a resident population of approximately 16,000 and hosts tens of thousands of travelers and tourists daily.

The Wastewater Plant Superintendent supervises, plans, and coordinates the services and operations of the wastewater treatment plant(s) including the operation and maintenance of the city sanitary treatment plants.  This position coordinates assigned activities with other divisions, outside agencies, and the general public.  Provides highly responsible and complex staff assistance to the Public Works Director.

Qualified candidate must have a high school diploma or its recognized equivalent; must possess a valid Georgia driver’s license, and possess a Georgia Class I Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator License.
 

FLSA Status: Exempt

Pay Grade S-32 $41,751.98 - $63,090.11 Annually; Generous benefit package that includes a variety of insurance and retirement benefit options.
