The Jackson County Water & Sewerage Authority (“Authority”) is seeking a full-time Water Distribution System Operator in the Water Services Department.
This is a skilled hands-on job requiring knowledge of piping and pumping systems involving the efficient operation of the Authority’s extensive water system. Incumbents continually ensure regulatory compliance with the Authority’s public water supply permit. A High School Diploma or GED is required. The ideal candidate should have One (1) or more years’ experience in the field of public water operations and possess a Georgia Water Distribution license. Applicants with related experience, such as plumbing or utility construction, may be considered. Applicant must possess a valid Georgia Driver's License (Class C) at start of employment and have a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record. A “Class A” CDL license is required within one-year of start date. The applicant must submit to a comprehensive criminal background check and pass a pre-employment drug screening.
Employees of the Authority enjoy an excellent salary and benefits package. The salary range for this position is presently $40,900 to $55,000 annually, DOQ.
